PMPA monthly meetings are a fun and educational. Meetings cover a diverse range of topics that payroll professionals will find beneficial.

Come join us! Breakfast begins at 7:30 AM with our speaker, Karen Clark, from the US Department of labor. Our topic for this meeting is FLSA and Nursing Mothers.

Outline:  The Fair Labor Standards Act:  Learn more about overtime and recordkeeping compliance requirements and the common errors that employers make.  An overview on break time for nursing mothers will follow.

Karen Clark is the Community Outreach and Resource Planning Specialist for the US Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division in Portland.  The Portland office covers the state of Oregon, six counties in southwest Washington, and the majority of Idaho.  Karen has been with the Division for nearly 21 years, serving both the Phoenix, Arizona and Portland, Oregon offices during this time first as investigator and later in her current position.  Karen is married and has an active 13-year old son.

As always, your meeting registration fee includes breakfast, raffle prizes, and 1 Continuing Professional Education credit. Breakfast menu: Einstein's Bagels with schmears, seasonal fruit, and coffee.
