This month we welcome Dezi Robb and Angie Ferrer from Buchanan Angeli Altschul & Sullivan LLP an employment law agency in Portland. We are still working out the details on what will be presented but expect details on the new FMLA law going into effect as well as other new laws and things to know in 2021.

Info on our speakers:

Dezi Robb:

Dezi joined the firm in 2019 as an Associate attorney.  Dezi originally became interested in employment law while attending law school at Willamette University.  In 2013, during her second year of law school, she began working for Stephen L. Brischetto, a solo practitioner with over 30 plus years of practice focusing on plaintiff’s employment litigation.    After passing the bar, she moved into an associate attorney position with Mr. Brischetto’s practice and developed a passion for fighting for employees’ rights in the workplace.  Since then, she has been successfully litigating plaintiffs’ employment claims including age and gender discrimination, ADA violations and sexual harassment claims.  She has also co-chaired three cases through trial, including a hearing a before an Administrative Law Judge on AIR 21 FAA whistleblower violations.  Dezi is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association, the Oregon New Lawyers Division and the Labor and Employment sections of the Oregon State Bar.  In her free time, she volunteers with the Make-a-Wish foundation of Oregon, granting wishes for children battling critical illnesses and is on the MBA YLS Committee Board. 

Angela Ferrer:

Angie joined the firm as an associate in 2016. She has been representing employees and employers in litigation matters since 2014.  Angie received her law degree summa cum laudefrom Lewis & Clark Law School, where she served as an Articles Editor on the Lewis & Clark Law Review and as an officer on the boards of the Employment Law Society and the International Legal Honor Society of Phi Delta Phi. Prior to pursuing her law degree, Angie enjoyed a successful career in human resources where she developed a passion for employment law and a solid understanding of complex workplace issues.  Angie is fluent in Spanish, and has lived and worked abroad. She is a member of the Oregon Women Lawyers, the Multnomah Bar Association, the Oregon New Lawyers Division, and the Labor and Employment, Litigation, and Solo and Small Firm sections of the Oregon State Bar.
